2-channel phantom power supply

Description
The VMR Phan-box is a 2-channel phantom power supply for microphones that require it, such as condenser mics. It connects in line between the microphone and the mixer, sound card or any device with a balanced input, and delivers power over the same XLR cable.
According to its manual, it includes a filter circuit with a rectifier and stable voltage doubling, which helps eliminate AC signal interference, and common-mode suppression built into the low-pass filter to keep the voltage stable. It also has a slow-start function that avoids the “pop” when switching on, and is designed to reduce the noise that other audio equipment can introduce. The diagram in the manual shows a 12 V / 48 V selector.
It is simple to use: turn on the switch (the indicator lights up), connect the microphone to the XLR input and, with another XLR cable, run the output to the mixer, interface or balanced-input device. It is a practical choice for studio recording, home studio and live sound with condenser microphones.
- Filtering: Rectifier with voltage doubling and low-pass filter
- Applications: Condenser microphones, studio, recording, live sound
