Description
The VMR Box-01 is a professional single-channel passive direct box (DI box). It takes the unbalanced signal from an instrument, such as a guitar, bass or keyboard, and converts it to a balanced signal over XLR, ready to plug into a console or interface, with the advantage of allowing long cable runs with less noise.
It has a 3-position pad (0 dB, -20 dB and -40 dB) to adjust the level to the source, and a Ground Lift switch to cut ground-loop hum. Besides the TS input and balanced XLR output, it includes a TS parallel (link) output, which lets you send the instrument signal to an amp or monitor while you send the line to the console. Its steel chassis makes it tough for everyday use on stage, in the studio or in a rehearsal room.
